Portfolio (temporary text)

Before this garden was redesigned it had a layout  which did not fulfil its potential. It was mainly a rectangular lawn with a straight concrete path from the front door to the gate. The layout was old  fashioned and did not meet the owners needs or desires.

The new design took advantage of the beautiful mature willow tree that dominates the site, using it as the main feature and focal point of the garden. The wooden gate and seat were repainted a soft green and curves replaced the angular layout. A new cobbled path winds from the gate to the front door, making a path through the circular lawn, and adding structure and definition to the garden. Planting in pastel colours, is easy to maintain and is designed to incorporate favourite plants and provide colour throughout the year.

People often feel that their garden could work and look much better. The layout may have been changed when a conservatory or extension has been built. Changes in lifestyle are likely to mean the garden needs to be updated, but making changes can result in the garden looking uncoordinated.  It is important to combine all the elements to make a coherent whole which works structurally, is convenient to use and looks attractive and inviting. A well designed garden will not only give pleasure to you, but will also improve the value of your house.
