About the UK
Christian Webmaster awards
UK Christian Webmaster issues
five levels of award to Christian websites which contain
a high amount of UK content, or are based in the UK.
A rough guide (by no means exact!) to the levels of
award are as follows:
One Star -
A START!
If the web address specified links correctly to a Christian
website with at least some Christian content and most
hyperlinks on the site are working, then you're guaranteed
a one-star award.
Two Star -
FAIR
As above, plus the site will have more Christian content.
A basic design, fairly easy to navigate, most hyperlinks
working correctly and very few 'under construction'
pages.
Three Star
- GOOD
As above, plus there will be evidence the website is
updated regularly and will probably not contain significant
pop-up ads or many banner ads per page. Site may also
include some good design elements and be easy to navigate.
Some useful and focused Christian content from the UK.
Most pages will upload reasonably quickly.
Four Star -
VERY GOOD
As above, plus the site will be particularly well designed,
easy to navigate and access information and have unique
content or frequently updated content which is mainly
Christian or particularly helpful to other Christians
and little or no advertising, banners or pop-up adverts.
Five Star -
EXCELLENT
As above, plus the site will be of cutting edge
design and/or designed most appropriately for the type
of website. It will have unique content, very frequently
updated which is mainly UK Christian based or particularly
helpful to other Christians. The site will most likely
contain little or no advertising, banners or pop-up
adverts. It will be thought provoking and visually stimulating
as well as a delight to use and very easy and intuitive.
The pages will also upload very quickly. Content is
as important as design at this level - a fantastic mulitmedia
website will not gain a 5-star rating if the content
does not match.
